Bequest a provision in your will or trust
You may provide a future gift to St. Alexander's Church by including a provision for the same in your will or trust.


Sample Bequest Provisions

Sample 1: You may make a specific bequest which gifts a specific amount of money or other property as follows:

"I give to St. Alexander's Church, located at 27835 Shiawassee, Farmington Hills, Michigan, the sum of $       *       for its general purposes." (Or you may state a specific purpose)
Note (*): Instead of a dollar amount you may state a percentage of your estate, or a description of specific property you wish to give, such as shares of corporate stock, real estate, jewelry, etc.


Sample 2: You may make a residuary bequest, which gifts the remainder of the estate after all other bequests have been paid, as follows:

"All the rest, residue, and remainder of my estate, both real and personal, I give to St. Alexander's Church, located at 27835 Shiawassee, Farmington Hills, Michigan, for its general purposes." (Or you may state a specific purpose)


Tax deductions: A bequest from a will or a trust distribution, to a church such as St. Alexander's is normally fully deductible for federal estate tax purposes and state inheritance taxes. Please consult with your personal legal and/or tax advisers.
